When in Ghent stay at Shelter 7, a little island of sophisticated cosiness in the city centre. We visited this place for two nights during the winter and immediately loved the place. A city apartment of three levels with a mix of modern and original architecture and design. A perfect balance between statement pieces and unexpected adornment like a hidden bedroom or a quirky pile of magazines. We enjoyed a cozy evening in front of the fire place with (really good!) design books and magazines. The place felt like our own home for a few days, we didn’t want to leave. We loved the design items, the lamps, furniture, plants and of course the most stunning architecture. On our way back home we discussed what we could do in our own home to create such a warm and at the same time design environment. Still working on it.. I highly recommend this place and don’t forget to ask Stephanie (the sweet owner) for some tips in Ghent.
