There is something about Maastricht, this place is magical. Especially when your are staying at Haas op het Vrijthof. An Art Deco building (1920) surrounded by amazing architecture when you are gazing out of your window. This luxury guesthouse includes 3 suites and 3 rooms. We stayed at one of the suites and had an amazing time, surrounded by design pieces from Eames, Hay, Vitra and Morosso we immediately felt at home. We enjoyed the warm welcome by Catharina and loved the fresh fruit and pastries waiting for us in the kitchen. “Haas op het Vrijthof is a place where you can enjoy a new way of hospitality created by a mix of design that offers a comfortable and cozy ambience.” Although offering the best service is the most important aspect of Haas op het Vrijthof; “We want to offer everyone a pleasant stay; kind service, flexible breakfast times and valet parking. A personal approach combined with luxury.” All the design pieces are carefully selected Catharina explains: “We created a complete interior concept, we carefully selected every piece of furniture but also the colours on the wall and the curtains. We think it’s important to surround ourselves with products that are sustainable and made with love.” We had an amazing time and highly recommend this amazing place. Also worth mentioning: you get a key to your own wine cellar, how cool! Don’t forget to ask Catharina for Maastricht tips, she selects the best places to fully enjoy this magical city.
